DUE: SUNDAY APRIL 14TH @ 5PM
APA Heritage Month is nationally recognized and celebrated in May, but we are going to put our own spin on it and host it as a week before our Culture Show!! We are really excited, because this is the first time that ASA has hosted a Heritage Week. We will need a lot of help and involvement from the everyone in ASA, but it’ll be a great growing and bonding experience. :)
As an APA Heritage Week Committee member, you will be doing same things as the Co-heads, but instead of planning the show, you will be planning the events of APA Heritage Week. This committee and the Culture Show Co-heads will be working TOGETHER to create an meaningful and cohesive theme for APA Heritage Week and the Culture Show.

Both positions are a great opportunity to get more involved in ASA; You will gain valuable leadership and teamwork experience as you work with each other and the board to engage all of ASA and the Bryn Mawr community. We encourage anyone with interest, ESPECIALLY freshman and sophomores , to apply!

At this special anniversary performance, the renowned spoken word duo invites a showcase of 10 guest artists to share poetry, song, movement, and memories celebrating 10 years of YELLOW RAGE! Join us for a not-to-be-missed event filled with more than enough creative talent and energy to inspire us for the next decade!
Michelle Myers and Catzie Vilayphonh met in the year 2000 in a writing and performance workshop at Asian Arts Initiative. Over the years, YELLOW RAGE has sought to make positive impact through their poetry. They have performed on HBO’s Def Poetry Jam and at an incredible array of colleges and community venues. Drawing from their own unique experiences, individual political ideologies, and personal life philosophies as Asian American women, Michelle and Catzie’s poems address issues which explore the intersections of race, culture, gender, community, and self.
* All proceeds from this performance will go to the Fong Lee family’s fight for justice. Fong Lee was a Hmong teenager who was shot in the back 8 times and killed by a police officer in North Minneapolis.
